My designs are non-traditional, minimal, and somewhat abstract, perfect to complement today’s home décor trends. I focus on beautiful colour combinations in artful arrangements. I purposefully created patterns with only a few colours, often in blocks, to allow the stitcher to enjoy the repetitive, peaceful nature of stitching a long row without interruption. It’s uncomplicated and gets me, and others, in the flow of the activity.
I called the store Rosy & Grey; rosy after the feeling I got from cross-stitch, and grey for the popular decorating colour. And it’s the name of my favourite song by The Lowest of the Low, which is all about finding beauty and hope in imperfect situations.
